Beach Walk

This invitation suite was designed for my internship roommate, Jana, and her fiance, Tom. They are planning a beach-front wedding later this summer. In their effort to 'go green', we worked to creatively eliminate envelopes or additional paper inserts where we could. Below is what was printed on the reverse of their invitations, allowing for less paper to be used throughout the printing process.

We even designed response post cards instead of traditional cards with envelopes:

Paper used for all of their Save the Date and Invitations is Pearl White Metallic. The Invitation Envelopes are also Pearl White Metallic. The Invitation Envelopes are lined in Aqua Lagoon Metallic to coordinate with the flip flop detailing on their paper suite.

Perfect Game

I'm sorry I haven't blogged these invitations sooner! They were created for my nephew's 8th birthday bowling party.

So many kids birthday invitations today reflect our no-time, no-creativity lifestyle, and these are a great alternative!

I invite my clients to get creative all the time -- think your kids interests -- sports, hobbies, and more! We can create and hand cut any invitations to be unique and perfect, just like your child.

The paper used was Bright White Basic cardstock hand cut into the shape of a bowling pin. While all hand cut invitations are done so with care, we do leave a small margin for variations, as they are cut by hand, and not a machine.

Chickadee

I love these little birth announcements!! The simplicity of this little chickadee presents the information of your newest addition with a cute note.
As with all of our birth announcements, we encourage the mom-to-be to select the announcements before the arrival of her new baby. Once they are selected and purchased, we mail the envelopes to you ahead of time, so you can address them while you still have a free minute! Once the baby is born, just forward us the key information, like name, weight, length and photo (optional with some baby announcements), and we create your announcements and send them over. A classic way to get the word out of your special delivery!
The paper is (top to bottom) Orange Basic with Bright White Basic cardstock on top.

Labels - Sweet Treats and Favors

Something I love about current wedding trends is the Candy Bar. No, not the Snicker.

The actual bar, or buffet, of candy treats for your guest to enjoy as a wedding favor. These labels have been very popular to appear on a clear, cello bag near you and placed strategically near the Candy Bar for your guests to load up a baggie to take home.

All of the labels are shown with fun song lyrics, but yours can say anything you want! Go the extra step to personalize them with your names and the date.

Also great for shower favor bags, these can be personalized with other fun sayings like "Jana's Bridal Shower -- only 68 more days until the Miss becomes a Mrs." At only $3 per sheet of 18 labels, they are a cost-effective way to make your Candy Bar personalized and perfect!

Calling Cards - Brides Collection

As we've posted before, calling cards are making a comeback in a big way. Perfect for enclosing with a gift when you don't need a full greeting card, or sending with a note or document, they are a great social correspondence piece for your collection!

These are both designed with brides in mind in two different styles. Many brides who order these styles enclose their new address or contact information on the back of them and include them with shower and wedding thank you notes, or when giving gifts to their attendants.

The can double as a 'calling card' with your new contact information and (of course!) you new name! Over 80 paper colors are available to customize these cards. They are shown on Bright White Solid.

Labels - Argyle

Ok, I'm a sucker for labels. While invitations are hands-down my passion, I think address labels can say so much about the sender. I designed these early on in Bliss Papers and am finally sharing these great labels for your enjoyment!

Font, font color, and argyle colors are all completely customizable, and these labels are available in multiple sizes to fit your preference. At only $3 per sheet, they are affordable, custom labels!

Also, check out these Argyle Pastels, great for a softer look (and a favorite for baby shower invitations and announcements!)

I love bright colors!!

Paris Ferris Wheel

I have been working for a while to find the perfect feminie flourishes for girly invitations like these. The design originated with my grandmother's 80th birthday party invitations, and have evolved into these shower invitations.

I'll be honest -- while I love all of my work and working with great clients, shower invitations are by far my favorite. They don't carry as much of the stress of wedding invitations and are much more personal than corporate event invitations. They are full of hope, fun, whimsy, and most of all, personality.

Of course you can select fonts, font colors, placements, paper and more to make these PERFECT for your guest of honor!

The paper used in the sample (above) is Pearl White Metallic cardstock. The paper used in the sample (below) is (bottom to top) Baby Blue Solid with Pearl White Metallic cardstocks, embellished with a 1" white satin ribbon.

Moving Cards - Key Alley

I'll admit it -- I'm going through a 'key phase' for everything, including jewelry and home decorating. My husband had to put me on a decorating purchase freeze to prevent my mission of finding 20-30 various style/sized keys to decorate one wall of our living room. Twarted again.

So, I channelled this phase into these new Moving Cards! Dubbed "Key Alley", the card features a variety of keys to announce your new home address!

The paper used in this sample was recently discontinued, but the great news is that you can have them printed on over 80 different paper colors to make this announcement or invitation all your own!

Labels - Ribbon Layers

These Ribbon Layers Labels are perfect for a fun touch for anything! They are, of course, great for address labels, but they have also been widely popular for just a personalized label featuring your name (great for labeling dishes, books, and more!) and for favor tags for showers and birthday parties.

All colors are completely customized to your specifications, and two sizes are available to fit your needs.

Birthday Year

The Birthday Year invitations were created for my dad's 50th birthday. In talking about his 50th birthday party preparations, somehow the family got started on other things that happened in his Birth Year of 1958.

In laughing a bit over all the social happenings of 1958, we decided we had to incorporate them into the invitations somehow. Thus, the invitation below was born!

The paper used (bottom to top) was Cobalt Blue Solid with Bright White Solid. All of the fonts, font colors, and paper colors are customizable for your perfect event! We research all of the social happenings from your preferred year and run the list by you (in case there are any you would like omitted) and work up this invitation just for your guest of honor!

Stefanie's Holiday Baptism

Our good friends baptized their baby this winter, and we created these invitations for them. With the baptism being held mid-December, baby Stefanie's mom, Christina, selected a holiday theme for the celebration.

Here are the samples we made for them to select from for this wonderful event! Many feature ribbon detailing and all feature a colored back card.

The first invitation (shown above) was the one Christina selected. It features Stephanie's monogram on the left with the baptism invitation information to the right. A 1 1/4" thick red velvet ribbon separates the two sides. The paper used (from bottom to top) is Meadow Green Solid with Natural Solid on top.

We did have a separate enclosure card for RSVP and Reception details, (shown on the left side of the photo) which featured Stephanie's monogram at the top on Natural Solid paper.

Other samples for this event that weren't selected:

The Holiday Marquee design (shown left) is printed on Pearl White Metallic with a row of bright red dots at the top and bottom.

This invitation is also great for holiday parties, housewarmings, birthdays, showers, and more! The fonts, font colors, and dot colors are all customizable for your event, and this can be mounted onto a color cardstock for an extra layer of depth and quality!

The Golden Child is a great baptismal or first communion invitation for either gender. The top of the invitation features the child's monogram at the top with a byzantine cross beneath it.

The paper used was (from bottom to top) Antique Gold Metallic with Bright White Basic paper. Over 80 paper colors and textures are available for you to customize this invitation. It's precious in a Rose Pink Shimmer Metallic mounted on Bronze Brown Metallic for a little girl!

The Broadway Bubbles invitation (shown left) was another sample that brought in the holiday colors while focusing on the guest of honor, Stefanie. The paper used (bottom to top) was Black Basic with Bright White Basic, and embellished with the Lime Bubbles ribbon.

Calling Cards - Sports Collection

While still in its infancy, the sports collection of calling cards is a great gift for kids and adult sportsman alike. My brother, a grown man, has a set of the basketball cards and tends to use them frequently.

Popular in the 1800s, personalized calling cards have made a great resurgance in popularity. They are the perfect card for situations where a traditional business card would be too formal, but you will wish to give out your information or let someone know you stopped by.

Alternatively, they can be included with a gift in lieu of a card, or included with a small package when a traditional card doesn't seem necessary.

Moving Cards - Mappin' Mover

At my age (late 20s, don't get too excited), my friends are on the move often, many buying their first homes or transferring for jobs, spurring my new moving cards design. I'll be posting more over the next few weeks, so check back -- there is sure to be the perfect one for you!

The Mappin' Mover is the eco-friendly moving option, with the base a 100% recycled card. Mounted on the cover is a clip of an online map of your new area, with a star marking your new address. The inside is a message in typeset font, where you can inform your guests of your new address or invite them to a housewarming party or open house.

Moving Cards - Second City Skyline

The new moving cards collection continues with the Second City Skyline, featuring a 'hanging' work of downtown Chicago. As we are a Chicago-based company, this had to appear in our repertoire.

Shown, this moving card is mounted on a teal shimmer backcard with a scallop-cut border. You can opt for any of our cardstock options in flat or shimmer materials in any border cuts to truly personalize these cards for your big move!

The paper used (from bottom to top) was Tiffany Blue Solid with Bright White Solid on top. They were custom cut into a scalloped edge for a little personalization. They are also available with straight edges or rounded corners.

Moving Cards - Tiffany Stripes

Moving cards are becoming increasingly popular, as an e-mail saying "we've moved" just doesn't have the same flair and personalization. The Tiffany Stripes card has a little flair with the quip at the top, which can be altered to perfect your style.

The paper layers (from bottom to top) are Aqua Lagoon Metallic, Black Solid, and Bright White Solid. Over 80 paper colors are available to customize this product!

Turquoise is a hot color this season, and a happy little color, as far as I am concerned. As with all of our products, the colors, fonts, and layout can be customized to be a moving announcements or housewarming invitation that says 'you.'

Calling Cards - Scroll Fruits Collection

I designed the scroll fruit collection first in a set of calling cards to test them out and see how they rate among my customers. With Spring finally here, they seem like a cheery gift you could give a hostess or friend who deserves a little something.

As with any of the calling cards, you can customize them to add names, address, e-mail, phone, or any other information that you'd like. I have many customers who use them as a nice spin on traditional business cards as well. You can order them as squares, or wit h rounded edges for an additional charge. Check out the full collection below and order yours today at http://www.blisspapers.com/.
